Personality & Traits
General Overview | Lee is caring and friendly with a straightforward type of personality. She usually calls it like she sees it and can be too blunt at times. She comes off as awkward and shy at first glance but Lee has a mischief trait that seems common to most Orions - that attraction to what's illegal or frowned upon is somewhere etched upon her skin. She's playful around people she knows for a while and more cautious towards strangers. Lee's a good liar, a skill she took from her mother but she doesn't like lying. She understands the work she is often involved sometimes requires giving the truth context, though. She sees the world, the universe in shades of gray most of the time. Lee has a contagious laugh, an adventurous mind and a honest heart. She will fight for those she cares for even if it means putting herself at risk. Lee also curses like a drunk sailor when she's angry, usually using mixing up curses from different languages. |

Strengths & Weaknesses | Lee is a highly intelligent young woman with a deep knowledge of xenophysiology. She's very a skilled nurse and is always interested in learning more. Lee has potent pheromones that are unique to the Orion female physiology. Her pheromones accelerate the metabolisms of males of many species, raising adrenaline production to dangerous levels which causes aggression and, ultimately, a form of delusion. Its most significant effect is to make them susceptible to suggestion. The pheromones' effects are cumulative; the longer exposed, the more pronounced are the results. Human females react negatively to the same pheromones, experiencing headaches, while Vulcans are immune to effects of the pheromones. Orion females generally possess an innate skill of seduction but that doesn't seem to be the case with Lee. She's not comfortable being 'sexy' or seducing anyone. In fact, Lee is very shy as far as romance is concerned. Lee's not used to using her pheromones on others and when she does that it usually happens by accident, leading to some awkward situation. What could be considered an advantage in Lee's case is more a problem. Lee doesn't liek carrying guns and is not well versed in firing weapons but she can hold her own on a fair fight, using of basic fighting skills or simply throwing something heavy at her opponent. |

Personal History | The youngest of two children born to a human doctor and an Orion con artist, Lee was raised aboard a smuggling ship called Aurora. Lee's father was a former starfleet doctor who fell in love with an Orion criminal and deserted. John Higgins had a brilliant career ahead of him when he crossed path with Vaina Akron. Their brief romance led to a quick marriage and his desertion from Starfleet. He became an outlaw as far as the Starfleet was concerned and he adopted the last name Pierce in order to hide his origins and keep a low profile. Lee was brought up in an environment not many people wouldn't consider suitable for a child but she was happy and adjusted in her own way. Her parents were good role models to her, at least, she never thought they were doing anything wrong. Breaking the law was natural to Lee like breathing. Since early age, Lee showed interest in medical sciences and her father began to teach her very soon in life. Lee absorbed every information as fast as she could so she could learn more and more. John wanted Lee to attend medical school one day but in the meantime he trained her to be his assistance, his nurse, a role she took very seriously. She was 12 and already had shifts in the ship's sickbay. When she was not working or studying, Lee was watching the rest of the crew in their works. Lee loved to watch people and try to figure them out, read them. The first disappointment in Lee's life was to watch the fall out between her parents and her older brother, Alistair. He wanted to join the starfleet something Lee's parents weren't keen of. Alistair was a headstrong young man like John and he left the Aurora and followed his dream. Lee received some news from him regularly for while but they lost touch after a few years. She hasn't seen or spoken to him in five years now. Lee remained aboard the Aurora with her parents until she turned 17 years old. She participated of some of the illegal jobs the Aurora's captain took and she always managed to make the crime sound like the most natural thing ever. She rationalized things so it wouldn't affect her. Lee knew they were criminals but everybody aboard the ship was family to her so it didn't feel like they were bad people. When she turned 17, Lee told her parents she needed to walk on her own legs for a while. Explore the universe by herself and they let her go, even if reluctantly. Lee spent some time on Earth then visited a couple Starfleet stations. She found work patching bounty hunters, mercenaries, criminals and regular folks up every now and then. Nurses, even those without a legal diploma were needed everywhere. Lee also met some interesting people in her travels and among them she befriended a Bolian man who managed to get her a valid nursing degree from some obscure university on a Federation Colony. Lee didn't think she'd need the 'official document' but it seemed to make sense to have even if she didn't need it right now. He also arranged her a job aboard a transport ship called Thor's Hammer . Lee was happy on the Thor's Hammer until she wasn't anymore. The job wasn't always as dangerous as the ones the Aurora often took and the crew seemed to welcome her. Obviously, they used her 'Orion skills' to con some people and even cheat Starfleet patrols a couple times but she could handle that with some effort. Lee was unable to handle falling in love with one of the crew, though. The short romance with the Thor's human first mate, Cain Heller, caused a turmoil in Lee's young life. She embarked in the relationship with her heart open but things didn't work out the way she was expecting. Lee wanted the kind of love her parents shared and she only got broken heart. Cain wanted a fling while Lee wanted a love-story. She left the ship after two years even though she still cared for the crew and loved the job. Lee got word a Klingon ship wit a mixed crew needed people with medical expertise and she signed on. She served aboard the Klingon vessel for 18 months and then it was time to move on again. Lee was looking for a new ship to call home and the next adventure space could bring her when she found the Warden. |
