Command (Primary Manifest)
The Command department is ultimately responsible for the ship and its crew, and those within the department are responsible for commanding the vessel and representing the interests of Starfleet.
Captain Owner and operator of the ship. The Captain has the final say in matters regarding all aspects from what type of cargo they are going to haul, the jobs that are contracted out.
First Mate The liaison between captain and crew, the First Mate acts as the disciplinarian, personnel manager, advisor to the captain, and much more. The First Mate is the Captains right hand and part owner of the ship. If the Captain isn't around, they are are in charge -
Flight Control (Primary Manifest)
Responsible for the navigation and flight control of a vessel and its auxiliary craft, the Flight Control department includes pilots trained in both starship and auxiliary craft piloting. Note that the Flight Control department does not include Fighter pilots.
Pilot Originally known as helm, or Flight Control Officer, CONN incorporates two job, Navigation and flight control. A Flight Control Officer must always be present on the bridge of a starship. S/he plots courses, supervises the computers piloting, corrects any flight deviations and pilots the ship manually when needed. The Chief Flight Control Officer is the senior most CONN Officer aboard, serving as a Senior Officer, and chief of the personnel under him/her. -
Security & Tactical (Primary Manifest)
Merging the responsibilities of ship-to-ship and personnel combat into a single department, the security & tactical department is responsible for the tactical readiness of the vessel and the security of the ship.
Bounty Hunter He wasn't too hard to catch, only had to chase him through 3 bars, down an emergency escape, across a freighter lane, well, I needed the fresh air anyways. Some of the best paying jobs, as well as some of the most dangerous are bounty jobs. The bounty hunter is adept scouring out contacts planet side as well as the best way to apprehend wanted fugitives. The Bounty Hunter is also in charge of securing the wanted fugitives after they have been caught. Weapons Expert "Do you think this gun is big enough? Well what about this one?" The universe is a dangerous place and normally the person that brings the biggest gun to the fight wins. This person should be adept at many different types of weapon systems including small arms, ship based weapon systems and high explosives. When not on a boarding mission or running security during cargo transfer missions, the weapons expert is in charge of the ship based security and weapons systems. -
Engineering (Primary Manifest)
The engineering department has the enormous task of keeping the ship working; they are responsible for making repairs, fixing problems, and making sure that the ship is ready for anything.
Cargo Chief The Cargo Chief's main responsibility to is ensure safe transport of the cargo that the Warden is carrying. They can work closely with the Engineer to ensure the ship is running smoothly and balanced properly Engineer/Mechanic 'I'm sure we don't need this... It really wasn't doing anything anyways.' The Engineer is in charge of keeping the ship in one piece, keeping the engines running, hull plating intact, and fixing anything that happens to break.
Computer/Communication Specialist "Our docking codes aren't right? What do you mean our docking codes aren't right?! YOUR codes aren't right. It is O.k. Captain I hacked them we shouldn't have any problems. " Sometimes the best way in or out of a bad situation is to make them think you are supposed to be there. The Comm/Computer specialist should be adept in several different computer systems and be able to exploit their weaknesses. -
Medical & Counseling (Primary Manifest)
The medical & counseling department is responsible for the mental and physical health of the crew, from running annual physicals to combatting a strange plague that is afflicting the crew to helping a crew member deal with the loss of a loved one.
Doctor The Doctor is responsible for the physical health of the entire crew, but does more than patch up injured crew members. His/her function is to ensure that they do not get sick or injured to begin with, and to this end monitors their health and conditioning with regular check ups. Nurse Nurses are trained in basic medical care, and are capable of dealing with less serious medical cases. In more serious matters the nurse assists the medical officer in the examination and administration of medical care, be this injecting required drugs, or simply assuring the injured party that they will be ok. The Nurses also maintain the medical wards, overseeing the patients and ensuring they are receiving medication and care as instructed by the Medical Officer. -
Civilian Affairs (Primary Manifest)
