Mission: Session 3: Fear of the Dark
Location: Deck 2 - Mess Hall

Morgan found the Tactical officer finishing her meal in the mess hall. So far he had avoided most of the crew but he needed to broach a subject with someone in command. He held a wad of papers in his fist and moved carefully up to the dark haired woman.

"Ms Ashcroft. Can I have a moment of your time?"

Lottie looked up at the sound: "I must be in trouble," she smiled. "Last time I was called that I was in chains. What can I do for you?"

"The Captain suggested I should try and put the Sickbay back into working order, a task which is Herculean at least. I have here a list of materials that are needed to manage even a moderately safe medical ward."

He placed the wad of papers on the table near Charlotte. Even at a glance she knew she would probably not understand most of the things listed.

"Thankfully most of them can be recovered from the supplies you liberated from the bounty hunter's ship and have currently got stored ready to sell. Is there going to be an issue if I go and re-acquire these articles?"

"You're a brave man to accept that challenge." Lotite turned to meet Pass full on. "But I'm greatful, we could do with a man of medicine around here. I have no problems with you raiding the cargo from the bounty hunters, in fact I'm glad some one can find some use for it."

Morgan seemed surprised at this but let it pass, "There are also a number of articles less abundantly available that I would like to request. I have not been able to locate the Captain or first officer, and I do not know how situations like this are normally handled on this vessel."

She scoffed. "Not very formally I can you tell you that. What is that you need? We might be able to haggle some when we make port next."

Margan pulled a purple sheet from the list and placed it on top, "Mostly drugs, though there are a few pieces of euipment that would make my job easier."

Lottie looked at the list which contained a heap of names involving words like Di-Poly-Whatsan-Ene or Trans-Cytle-dodaday. However she was enough of a Tactical officer to see that at least one of the pieces of equipment was a common component in Biogenics Weaponry development. She had not been aware it could also be used for common medicine.

"Not a lot of that makes sense to me," she glanced up. "I'll mention it to Jones when I see him next. When we finally set down we'll bring you a long to gather this... shopping list of gear. That is providing you're up for it?"

Pass was quiet for a moment, "It is not a Federation Starbase is it?"

She held his eye: "Does it look like we belong inside the Federation? Does anything we do look like something they would approve? To be honest I don't know where we are heading, could be some run down station barley making a blip on sensors or elsewhere. God knows how but Jones has befriending a Starfleet Admiral on Deep Space 7 whom may be inclined to help. Personally I'd rather keep my distance from the Federation as much as possible."

Pass breathed out slowly, "That would suit me as well. Excellent. I look forward to our shopping trip then."

He stopped as he was leaving, "It is alarming how exclusive the 'open arms' of the Federation can be. Here we are, all Human, or at least part... even the Andorian is one of the founding worlds, and yet we have no place amongst it. Ah, well."
