Mission: Session 3: Fear of the Dark
Location: Bounty Hunters Ship?
Timeline: Before Boarding Action

"I mean it," the old man said, "You have to release me or you will all die."

The guard just stood at the door looking at him dispasionately. He was a giant of a man, runour had it he was part Nausican.

The old man closed his eyes and sighed. He tried to adjust his position on the metal bench but the cuffs on his hand were secure and pulled him in an odd angle.

"You should be killing me, not taking me back. You will no tlive long enough to regret that."

The guard didn't comment and didn't shift his position. The older man scratched his wrist.

"I'm sorry," he said quietly.

The guard coucghed once.

"I am sorry," the man said again.

The guard coughed again with a sudden look of surprise on his face. He put his hand to his mouth and it came away with blood over it. He tried to speak but all that came out was more blood. He turned to leaave through the doors but his knees failed and he fell to the floor twitching.

"So very sorry," the old mand said to the corpse.

The door to the cell block of the ship slid open and a tall, slender orion woman walked in and looked at the dead guard, then looked at Morgan. "It is a good thing I was going to kill him, or else I'd be slightly angry." She kicked the body over and took the transponder out of his comm link, then looked at the man. "So... I'm sure you'll be happy to know the payment on your bounty has cleared, means you are headed back to the hell hole you came from.." She looked in at the cage... "If you can match or beat the bounty, I might drop you off somewhere before we get there."

The old man, Morgan, shook his head, "I have no idea what the bounty on a mass murderer is, but I know I do not have the means to out bid the Federation. I also know that none of your crew will survive long enough to collect the payment. Please, either kill me now, or 'loose' me on the next world you pass."

She made careful to step over the body. "I think I'll take my chances with the bounty.

The man closed his eyes briefly, "As you wish."

He looked at the dead guard, "I would not let a human crewmwmber come in contact with that body, and burn or vapourise it as soon as you can. Haz suits would be a good idea around me."

"Good thing I have a Bolian with me that likes to clean up." She smiled at Morgan through the bars. "I could torture you, you know that right? The Federation just said they needed you alive.. not in what shape."

The man made no comment. He was pretty sure this woman would do unplesant things to him just because she liked to. In some way he felt he probably deserved it.

The Orion woman was just about to take out a pain stick from the one bay when the communicator on her arm beeped.

"WHAT!?" She screamed into the Comm.

"We have the Cardassian freighter on subspace tracking now."

"Fine.. I'll be there in a minute." She put the stick back into the cubbard and looked at Morgan." You are going to have some friends join you here shortly.. won't that be nice?"

Morgan's face was grey and he sighed heavily, "I would like to have said it was nice to meet you. I hope you manage to get your crew shot. It would be much more pleasant than the alternative."

She shot the man a dirty look and stepped back over the guard to leave the room.

After she left he leant back against the back of the cell. He could hear the screaming again. All those voices. Was he supposed to feel something? They said it was harder to do when you could see their faces but that wasn't true. The look on the Nausican had been exactly as he had expected. He hoped someone would come and clean up the body soon.
