Mission: Session 3: Fear of the Dark
Location: Warden
Timeline: Current

"You have to be quicker about it.. you are giving them enough time to prepare themselves." A man with a short barreled boarding phaser in his hands.

"I'm trying boss.. these old Cardassian Hulls are tough to get through." the sound of the hull saw sounded like a shrill scream. "I'm through..." he said as the saw came to a stop. The man with the saw stood up, and kicked out the metal, letting it land on the floor with a loud clank.

"Hurry up boys." the man with the boarding phaser jumped down first holding a phaser down the hallway, six more jumped down after including a mean looking Orion woman. "Remember.. The Andorian and the Captain are not to be killed... they are worth more then this entire tub. Kill the rest of them." She pulled down a targeting hub over one eye and started scanning the corridors with a phaser rifle. "You four spread out towards the bridge, you two with me, to the engine room."

"Standard warning?" One of the men who was headed forward asked.

"Yeah, won't do them any good though."

Leaning down he patched into one of the conduits that looked like it mite be a comm line. "Crew of the Warden.. put down your weapons and we may let you live."

=== Bridge area ===

Martok had made his way to the bridge when the warning came from the boarding party. He tapped a few buttons on the comm panel and made the activated panel short out shocking the person using it quite severely. "Put down yours and your death will be less painful." he said over the comm system.

"Little man, I think we hold all the cards here, your insolence will mean a slow painful death." He moved motioned for two of the others to move forward and take up positions. "We've got your captain already... just turn over the Andorian, and the gem and we'll be gone.. that is all that we want." He cut the comm off and put the rifle to his shoulder. "Make sure we find out who that was and we'll cut his arms off and beat him to death with them."

One of the other members nodded as he touched the comm port in his ear. "Executor, we are moving forward towards the bridge, I'm finally getting scans from the out board telemetry... 4-5 humanoid figures and... what the hell.. Targs?" just as he said that one started running down the corridor and one of the mercs fired a single bolt at it, instantly vaporizing the beast.

Crouching behind the crates Lottie looked down from the level above. These gear the men carried, their attitude - everything about them was advanced. They were well training killing machines. But what the hell did they want with Jones and Tyl, and what gem?
"Oh Jones, what the hell have you got us into?" she whispered.

Then, to her horror. The men, in unison looked up straight at her with a smirk that made her skin crawl

"Missy, you better come down from their before I decide to take you as my prize." The leader moved to the side of the corridor and aimed the rifle up towards her, and nodded for the other two to keep advancing up towards the bridge.

"Prize," Lottie repeated. "And, who prey would he the owner?"

She was stuck in two minds as she descended being watched carefully by the mercenary's overly sized rifle. I looked as long as she was tall, and powerful enough to blow another hole in the ship. Lottie still held her pistols and was debating wither to use them or not. Time was running out, she needed to decide.

Bending as if faking to slip on the stairs Lottie swooped, leveling her weapons and fired pebbling the deck around the stranger as she slide down the remaining stairs.
Then, with a deafening boom that made her ear drums bound her descent suddenly changed pitch and she tumbled vertically - the stairwell just a twisted mess of metal now thats to the heavy power of the mercuries weapon.

Winded Lottie landed untidily in a heap and attempted to rise but a black speeding boot flew toward her face sending her sprawling back again. Several more sharp blows ensured she had been disarmed and disorientated before behind hauled upright by the roots of her hair and forced, at gun point to walk.

==Mess/bridge area== (Tyl Martok)

The other two moved closer and kicked the door down to the mess hall and pointed their weapons in taking defensive postions against the door frame.

Firing two quick shots, Tyl sprinted, and tumbled behind the bar area. As he fired a few more quick blasts from one of his disruptor pistols, he yelled over to Martok, saying, "I want one of them alive. We'll draw straws for who gets to interrogate it!"

The Andorian quickly ducked back behind the bar once again, as a bolt hit inches from his head.

=== Engineering ===

Jones ran over to the airlock that Jan had just crawled into and took up a defensive posture with his back up to a bulkhead. He watched as the lights on the door flashed indicating that the process was completed. Jones tossed in the Gorn rifle that had been in engineering. "Add a cut bulkhead to that list of things we are going to need to fix."

"Understood, orders?" Jan said, arming the rifle while stripping off the EV suit.

"We need to get to the bridge, Probably head down to the sub decks and climb up one of the forward access hatches, I think I remember you saying there was a hatch under one of the front command consoles right? If we don't have to fight them I'd rather not.

"Right, something tells me that there's going to be a fight no matter what. We can get to that access panel through a junction on the deck below it." Jan said, grabbing his coat.

"Yeah, but we can minimize that a sligh-" His words were cut short when a compression phaser round flew past his head.

"Jones! Get out here! We know you are back there... make this easy on yourself." The Orion woman and her two escorts had fired and then moved behind bulkheads.

Jones pointed the phaser down the hallway. "How about you come out and I'll make sure my Andorian doesn't rip your arms off and hang you on the outer hull to plug up the hole you cut?" Walter looked over at Jan, "Get to that bulkhead by the hatch over there, I'll lay down some covering fire for you, then you do the same, when we get there, we'll have to fuse the hatch to buy us some time." Sound like a plan?"

"Yeah, on 3 then." Jan said, switching from his rifle to two EM-33 pistols.

"Well why don't we just" He started to say as he popped out from behind the bulk head and filled the corridor with phaser fire, making sure to aim near where the womans voice was coming from and filling the space with as much phaser fire as he could manage. He watched as Jan jump down the hatch and he quickly followed after, diving down hatch."

==Civilian Quarters--B'Eloria==

It seemed like hours had passed since B'Eloria had fallen unconscious in her quarters. Her stomachs no longer hurt, but her head still ached. She staggered to her feet, feeling dizzy, and headed to the sink. In the mirror, she could see blood crusted around her ears. Despite her Klingon pride, she knew she had to find a doctor. An injury inflicted solely by an alien mind was serious. But did one even exist on this ship? She could never be sure.

She swapped her robe for a loose shift and headed out into the corridor. The Targs were now silent, and she wondered if the humans had finally managed to corral the beasts. She boarded the turbolift and headed for the bridge. Usually, that was where she'd find someone useful. Even if they didn't let her in the crew area, she was good at making enough of a fuss to get what she wanted.

"Well, now what have we here?" B'Eloria heard in her head as she stepped onto the bridge. Two men were pointing rifles at a young, beautiful woman. She froze, wishing she had brought a weapon. The woman's eyes flicked to her and met her gaze briefly. B'Eloria's stomachs began to churn again.

Keeping the rifle pointed at Lottie he signaled the other man with him to take aim at the new Klingon woman that appeared. "Boy, we sure do have some pretty ladies here with us. Are you going to play nice together sweetie or are you going make me do something I might regret?"
