"Tom, you are a drunk." Dianne started laughing. "In other news, FNS has received reports of increased pirate activity along the Neutral Zone of the Federation and Romulan Star Empire. According to after action reports 3 independent convoys have been attacked in the last 2 weeks, all sustaining heavy casualties and loss of life. Rear Admiral Alfred Blye of Task Force 93, commander of the area was quoted as saying.

"These allegations that we are not protecting the interests of the civilian trade fleet is ludicrous. The might of the Star Fleet has crushed any opposition presented by the Orion's and all trade routes remain open and safe."

"No word yet from the Romulan side of the border but we'll bring you more as this story develops." Diane straightened the papers on her desk.

"We'll have more stories including the cutest little kitten you've ever seen after this commercial break." Tom smiled at the camera as the lights dimmed and the feed cut to commercial.
