Session One - Jailhouse Rock
Location: Warden Corridor
Timeline: Current
Lee left the sickbay towards the cargo bay to look for the green goo Mr. Miller had mentioned during their meeting in the sickbay. She had to examine the substance to make sure if wouldn't cause more than rashes in the crew. The green skin nurse strode down the corridor somewhat distractedly, her mind busy in her own personal world when she noticed the ship's First Mater ahead.
Mr. Shrive was intimidating. That was the best way to describe him in Lee's eyes. She usually wasn't afraid of people of any race. Heck, she flew with Klingons but she didn't feel comfortable around the Andorian yet and that was due to their lack of interaction, most likely anyway. Lee opened a smile when she approached the blue skinned man.
"Mr. Shrive," she spoke perhaps louder than she was hoping. "Hi...sir...err do you like being called sir?" Lee bit her lower lip and tried to hold the smile. She probably should have planned a meeting with the First Mate instead of acting on impulse. Lee had a feeling things were not going to go well.
"Ah yes. The greenskin nurse. Do you have nothing better than to wander around the ship?" Measuring up the Orion girl, he grew a look of disgust. "You're a half breed, aren't you? None the less. Why are you bothering me? Do you have nobody else that would be better suited to your prattling?"
"Oh touchy, aren't we?" Lee said with a cheeky smile. The Andorian clearly didn't like her but she wasn't taking personally. He probably didn't like many people but manners was something he could learn. He was the first mate of the ship after all, and having a little education never hurt anyone before. "What? I'm a half-breed?" the nurse faked a surprise. "How can you tell? Isn't my green, green enough? I'm shocked!" she remarked with a mocking way. She was not really going into the half-breed thing. She loved her parents too much to even discuss with some judgmental Andorian. "Now I really need someone to talk to," Lee continued, joking. "Oh, could you please suggest someone more suited for my prattling?" the Orion girl asked, a small pout in her lips. "And in return I'll suggest you to get laid in order to release this negative energy that's inside you and it's clearly bad for you. I say that from a medical point of view. You even forgot how to talk to people. Poor Mr. Shrive." Lee shook her head and looked at him like she pitied him.
The Andorian turned his head slightly, and continued, "I can see why you are only a nurse and not a doctor. Just because your species find solace in frequent fornication, I have more important things to worry about. And come to think about it, so do you. I assure you that you may find yourself engrossed in your work soon. Oh. I almost forgot. There is a gift waiting in your room. A Bat'leth that I had collected from a Klingon privateer captain. Did you know that Klingons cry?" He looked at the girl curiously. "And to think that they brag about having no fear in the face of death, or worse, torture. I suspect he was distraught at losing his son... Now that I recall, I think that Bat'leth was the son's. They both looked alike. However, enjoy your gift. Perhaps it will serve you better than it did them."
"Yes, I'm just a nurse because I was too busy with the fornication," Lee stated and rolled her eyes at the Andorian. She'd met some weird people from different races but Mr. Shrive was taking the prize. "And you don't need to worry, Mr. Shrive. I'm well aware of my obligations but I appreciate your concern. That's so nice of you," the green skinned girl went on and it just after a few moments that she realized he had informed her he had given her a gift. "Wait..." Lee looked at him with a furrowed brow. "You got me a gift? The half-breed, crazy for fornication orion who apparently doesn't work and you doesn't seem to be the patience or the stomach for?" she looked surprised. "Are you drunk?" Lee wondered. "Why would you get me something? Specially something like a Bat'leth? It's great and I know I'm going to love it but did I miss something here?"
"I'm sure you'll understand in time, but I have neither the time nor patience to explain myself. I've work to be done here, so if you'd continue with finding yourself someone else to bother."
"You are strange man, Mr. Shrive," Lee stated with a confused look. "I know you don't care but I'm actually busy with research right now and I'm off to collect a few sample of goo," the Orion girl pointed out with a firm nod. "So, I wont bother anyone else but off I go. If you excuse me," she added and finally continued her way. Such an annoying blue man. "Have a nice...work," Lee still muttered as she strode down the corridor away from the First Mate.
