Park Stamir. Not a name that Shrive ever wanted to hear again. As he checked over his weapons yet again, he reached towards the disruptor pistol that had been a gift the night before the incident on the USS Crockett. The same incident that ended his career in Starfleet. The same one that led to his court marshal. The same one that left him alienated from the Imperial Guard....

By the end of this next mission, he knew that he would probably have to use it again, and leave yet another stain that would not wash away.
