Mission: Session 6: Take 5
Location: Engineering
Timeline: On the way to Romulan Space

"Here we go again..." Jan said to himself, crawling inside the Warden's ancient looking warp core.

It looked like hell, but the reactor was more or less in good working order, apart from the glaringly obvious plasma injector manifold, which had somehow melted into a useless chunk of metal. It was so badly damaged, Jan had to chop the entire piece out with a hand phaser, since the plasma cutter he found in the tool kit was dead.

Jan wandered down to one of the cargo holds, hoping that the manifest was accurate.

"Let's see, container J234-C.....Ah! There it is." Jan said to himself, throwing containers aside until he found the one he was searching for.

"Hope it's still in here, survey says....." Jan said, opening the container.

"Oh, wow, it's still here....Would not have called that." Jan said, taken aback by the shiny manifold resting inside.

Dragging it back to engineering (the anti-grav carts were gone) Jan hoisted the manifold up and bolted in place. After some final touches with a phaser and a hammer, the manifold was ready to go.

"Manifold in place, injectors primed, containment's good, let's fire it up." Jan said out loud.

Flipping several switches, the reactor computers came online, running just as well as they did before he left.

"Good, this homebuilt pile of circuitboards and isolinear chips still work." Jan said.

*Voice interface online, Command interface ready.* The computer stated.

"Alright, ECM, engage main reactor start up sequence, put the checklist on screen 2." Jan said to the computer.

*Beginning start-up sequence, Manifold pressure nominal, plasma flow rate nominal, Dilithium chamber integrity nominal, Flux Capacit----* the computer started.

"Cease verbal list, text only. " Jan said, the important items checked off.

The reactor checks complete, Jan fired up the core, starting slowly. After several minutes, the reactor was fully online and operational at a steady rate.

"Jan to Walter, Main Power restored, full warp capability will be restored in 30 minutes." Jan said over the com.
