Mission: Session 3: Fear of the Dark
Location: Engineering

Jones raced down through the darkened interior of the ship, occasionally hitting his head on low hanging doorways. After the frantic run, he made it down to engineering as Jan was franticaly working on making sure they weren't about to fly apart.

"What the hell happened and what can I do to help."

Jan turned around, a plasma torch in one hand, and his other hand propping up a metal panel against the reactor.

"We're in some deep shit Walt, I've stabilized the reactor, and the nacelles are venting plasma for another 90 seconds. But the main problem was the unexploded torpedo lodged in the detention cells, at least, until it exploded. 3 more bulkheads have been destroyed, and they've compromised our hull integrity in that section. I need an EV suit and all the scrap metal we can scrounge up. I'll need you to help guide me with the repairs as well, the area is so smashed up I won't be able to tell where to weld the bulkheads together, so you'll need to relay the schematics to me as I go.

"Alright" Jones ran over to one of the computer panels which was flickering with life. He swiftly kicked and and it came back to full power. "Will we be able to limp back?"

"If we can patch the damaged areas up, we should be ok. The reactor didn't suffer any permanent damage, once it cools down enough we can shut it off for repairs. I'll run the warp engines on the emergency batteries, if we stick to warp 2 we can get about 5 hours out of them, more than enough time to repair the main reactor." Jan said.


"Warp 2 is better then nothing, lets just shut the whole damn thing off, hopefully we don't have to fend off anything. Fuck it all..." Jones rubbed his face. "And those fucking Targs are eating the hell out of everything else.. I thought this was going to be a simple job." Sat down in the chair.

"So did I, all I wanted to do was patch up the remaining damage, then kick my feet up on the table in my room and relax." Jan said, finishing the welding around the core.

"Alright, that should contain any radiation from the core, when I finish repairing the bulkheads, I can get back to the reactor. It should take 4 hours to fix, after that we'll be back up to 100% on it." Jan said

"Can you bring an EV suit to my quarters?" Jan said.

"Yeah, let me go get it out of storage, I'll be down there in about 10 minutes, I'll see if I can get something else to help you too." Jones smiled and headed out of the engine room. The dark of the ship and corridors showing the pressing need to get something working.
