The two news anchors chuckled a bit and moved on to the next story.

"With the increased traffic coming from commercial trade with members of the Federation and the independent trade guilds, the office of the Arbitration has issued several updates to member contracts to coincide with possible negotiations. These updates can be found on the data net or your local arbitrators office."

"Hopefully they've found a way for me to get out of my lease, that place is a dump!" Again both anchors gave fake news laughs. Obviously they were reading off of a teleprompter and the joke was scripted.

The camera cut to the female news anchor. "Lastly tonight, we have sad news to bring you, early last night it was discovered that famed geneticist and molecular biologist Doctor Maliki Tan was found dead in his laboratory." An insert appeared on the screen showing a tall Lagashi man with gold colored eyes, sitting at a lab bench. "Doctor Tan was famed for his research into cloning, genetic manipulation and gene therapy. The Doctor was the recipient of several awards from many of the prestigious scientific communities across the quadrant." The camera zoomed out to both anchors.

"Furthermore, if you have any information leading to the Death of Doctor Tan, please contact your local authorities."

"And that is the news for tonight, from all of us here at News Net 1359 we are out of here! Good night Lagash!"
