Mission: Session 4: The Humans are Dead...
Location: Engineering

Jan crawled out from the reactor core, wearing a homemade radiation suit. The reactor was finally repaired, and ready to be fired up again.

"God that took what, forever?" Jan said to himself, stripping off the helmet.

"ECM12, engage the engine start up sequence." Jan said, talking to the "like new" stand-alone engine computer.

"Initiating phase 1...coolant circulating...coolant flow normal...//34-D: testing coolant valve operation...operation normal...phase 2 intitiating...primin-" the computer's emotionless, female voice said, until Jan interrupted.

"Switch to text display, console 3." Jan said, satisfied with the computer and the engine's operation.

The console behind him beeped, and a notification popped up indicating phase 2 was successful.

"Alright, just need to turn the ignition key, literally." Jan said, turning the key to activate the engine.

The refurbished core thrummed into life, a few odd squeaks, rattles, and hissing noises escaped from the core, but subsided within a minute.

"Dials are in the green, operation steady...alright! I clean up good don't I!" Jan said to himself, satisfied.

Jan activated the comm on his coat, "Walt, anytime you want to launch, we're set down here." Jan said.
