After successfully navigating their way into Klingon space, the crew of the Warden is handed an easy job, haul some cargo into Lagashi space and create some new trade contacts. The Lagashi are an interesting species, human, but not, mechanical but not.

The prospects of super human abilities surgically grafted into flesh and bone may be more of a temptation then some of the crew can handle, and someone from the captains past shows up to throw a wrench into their plans.
