Mission: Session One - Jailhouse Rock
Location: Sickbay
Timeline: Backpost (Before Plants and Pleasures)

With the ship now under way Miller was in the galley looking for something to eat, when his shoulder itched for what felt like the thousandth time. Taking a look at his shoulder to see why it was so itchy, he was met by the sight of a large red rash where the green goo had made contact with his skin. “Nice.” Miller grumbled scratching his shoulder. Throwing down the box of meal rations he had been looking through he went to sickbay to get the rash looked at.

“Hey Doc you here?” Miller asked as he passed through the sickbay doors. “Doc?” said Miller looking around and not seeing anyone.

Lee had dropped her tricorder and was knelt behind the sickbay main station when someone came in calling the doc. She grabbed the tricorder - hoping she hadn't damaged the thing - and rose to her feet. "Hello," she spoke as she pulled a few strands of her hair out of her face. "No doc I'm afraid," Lee informed him with an apologetic smile. "Sorry about that but I'm a nurse and I'm in charge of the sickbay...sorta," she grinned at him. "how may I help you?"

Miller was caught off guard by the sudden appearance of the attractive green skinned women who seemed to pop out of nowhere. “Ugh…” Miller stammered for several seconds before remembering the reason he had come. “I’ve got this sudden rash on my shoulder, think you can take a look at it?”

"Sure...please," Lee answered and motioned him to a bed. "Have a seat and could you take off your shirt?" the nurse asked flatly as she prepared the tricorder. "I'm Lee Pierce, by the way," she added softly, glancing over her shoulder at him as she checked the equipment.

“James Miller, cargo chief.” He said as he took a seat at the end of a bed and took off his shirt, revealing the red rash on his shoulder. “It’s a pleasure to meet you.” He said watching her with interest as she checked the equipment.

"My pleasure," Lee told him with a broad smile. She examined the rash for a few moments and then began the readings with the tricorder. "Have you got in contact with any substance or food you normally wouldn't it?" she asked calmly. "The skin is very irritated," Lee remarked. "Have you noticed the rash anywhere else?"

“The only thing I think it can be is that green goo that is scattered throughout the ship. Earlier some of it dropped onto my shoulder and leaked through my clothes to touch my skin.” Miller said looking from Lee to the rash. “I think this is the only place the rash is, I haven’t felt an irritation anywhere else. Why you think it could have spread? ”

"Green goo?" Lee asked quietly and mused over the tricorder scans. It seemed there was still trace of a substance in his skin. "I don't believe it has spread, Mr. Miller but since you scratched the rash breaking the skin whatever the green goo is could be in your bloodstream now. So other parts of your body can be affected and react," the nurse stated softly, making sure she wasn't making a big deal of the situation but at the same time informing him that other reactions could come of a simple skin inflammation. "There's nothing to worry but I'll test your blood just in case,"she went on with a simple smile as she collected a sample and started to run the diagnostics.

Lee stepped aside for a moment and prepared a hyposray with an antihistaminic drug. "This is going to help with the rash, ease the symptoms," the green skinned girl showed the hypospray. "Are you allergic to any medication, Mr. Miller?" Lee inquired before applying the drug.

“Not that I’m aware of.” Miller answered, feeling the hypospray touch his neck right before it made a hissing noise. Rubbing the spot where the hypospray had injected he asked. “If I did happen to be allergic what ugh… symptoms should I be looking for?”

Lee offered James a broad smile. "You really don't need to worry," she assured him with a gentle squeeze on his arm. "It's just a typical medical question," the green skinned girl went on. "But just in case, if you feel your hands or your tongue swell or have difficulties breathing you need to call me."

The nurse put down the hypospray and grabbed a lotion from one of the drawers under the cabinets. She knew she could use a dermal generator or something similar but the rash wasn't that big and old fashion medicine could still be used in some cases. Sometimes it was better for the skin to let nature follow its course.

"I'll apply this lotion to the rash," Lee showed him the small tube. "And then you'll take it with you and apply to the region two times a day for at least a couple days, ok?" she said before she opened the tube and spread the cold lotion over the irritated skin.

The lotion felt good as it soothed his irritated skin, however Miller wasn’t quite sure what felt better, the lotion or Lee’s touch. “Mhmmm… that feels great.” Miller said softly closing his eyes. As his mind wandered away he was glad Lee wasn’t a Betazoid because she would have picked up the strong emotions about her he was giving off.

"Great!" Lee exclaimed with a satisfied smile. She liked when she actually made people feel better with her work. She finished applying the lotion and closed the tube. "I'm glad it feels better already," the green skinned girl told him before handing him the lotion. "Now, don't forget to use it, Mr. Miller or you'll have to meet under these circumstances again," she commented playfully and stepped back. "You can put your shirt back on now."

Putting his shirt back on Miller was tempted to come back with a cheeky response but thought better of it. “So other than this rash I’m being given a clean bill of health?” He asked as he pocketed the lotion she gave him.

"Well," Lee replied looking from James to the medical tricorder and back to him. "The readings I got are all within norms but they are superficial scans," the nurse pointed out. "I can run more tests if you want. Do you have a reason to think you shouldn't be well or something?" Lee asked, tilting her head and watching James intently.

“Ugh… no no I feel great,” Miller said reluctantly. “I guess I better go then.” He sighed, hoping that for some reason Lee would need him to stay in sickbay longer. As Lee watched him, he got off the bed he was sitting on and began to slowly make his way to the door.

"Okay," Lee replied, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. She felt like she had to say something, to continue the conversation but she had no medical reason to do that and she didn't know James well enough to engage in some friendly chat about anything other than medical stuff. "Remember to come see me if you feel anything or have a question. l work 24/7 Mr.Miller," the orion girl added on, flashing a smile as James headed for the door.

“Okay,” Miller said, as he took one last glance at the green skinned woman before leaving sickbay. Even after he had left sickbay he couldn’t get Lee out of his head. “This is going to be one long day.” He said out loud to himself.

Lee waved as he left. "Cutie!" she muttered under her breath once James was out of sight, with a growing grin across her lips. "Alright...behave," Lee warned herself. She couldn't lost track of things, specially when potent pheromones were involved. With a sigh she looked away from the sickbay door and went about her business.
