Mission: Session One - Jailhouse Rock
Location: Crew's mess
Timeline: During warp

ON:

After is meeting with Tyl, Walter figured he'd get the rest of the crew in on the next part of the mission. He went over to the comm in the kitchen and pushed the announcement button. "Mnheia, James, Sky, Lee, and Brian, head up to the mess hall, I've got some things I want to go over with you on our upcoming cargo mission and such." Walter walked over to one of the cabinets, grabbed an apple then sat down to wait for the other crew members.

With very little having happened on the ship since departure, Sky had spent most of the time pottering about. Her thoughts lost in the worn and beaten old craft. It really did feel like home, and after her encounter with the first mate in the mess hall, she knew that she would make some life long friends living here.

The call went out, and with a swift turn she started back to the kitchen, her dress in her hand, and a new gown donned. She had intended to waste he fabric through the replicator system, but hadn't quite made it down there. It only took a few moments to find the kitchen and she stepped through the threshold.
"Captain, a pleasure as always".

"Yes always, I'm glad that you decided to come up here, the job we are going to pull off is going to require some grace and pinash that I certainly don't have." He smiled back over at Sky.

Lee wasn't doing anything in special at the sickbay when the captain's voice came through the comm and called a few names to meet up with him in the kitchen. Her name was among those called and she dropped what she was going to attend to his request right away. The Orion young woman was actually happy to get out of the sickbay for a little a while.

The green skinned nurse didn't take more than a couple minutes to show up in the kitchen and when she arrived only the captain and the companion were there. "Hi...sir," Lee looked at the captain and gave him a short nod. "Miss Summers," she smiled at the companion and walked to the back of the room to stay out of the way and wait until the rest showed up.

"Hi Lee we'll get started in a moment or two when some of the others come up." Jones leaned back and took a bite of his apple.

"Aye captain," the green skinned girl said with a lose salute and a genuine smile. She didn't mind waiting.

Miller was on his way back from checking on how the holding cells were going when he heard his name over the intercom. Making his way to the mess hall Miller saw that Jones and Lee were already present, as was a woman he hadn’t met yet. “Skipper, Lee, ma’am.” Miller said addressing everyone in the room.

"Hi, Mr. Miller," Lee replied softly.

Jones looked at everyone as they stood around the mess hall. We was glad that he was able to pull together such a good crew in such a short time. "Alright gang, I'm going to go over some details about the job that we are heading to, but first I want to go over a more, how should we say it clandestine part of the mission." Jones looked around at everyone. "Mr. Shrive and a few other members of the crew are going to be going on the prison run, and we are going to be headed to the Glausten system, namely Glausten III to meet up with them afterward. It turns out that the simple prison run turned out to be a lot more then what was presented to us. They pay is still outstanding and we are still doing it, but there are some strings attached that are going to be cut as soon as the job is done."

Lee had no questions, she simply nodded her head lightly as the captain spoke. Oddly, she was no surprised to learn the prison run wasn't exactly how the First Mate presented it before. Things were never easy and money in this line of world came with a hight price more often than she'd like. Still, it was a job and she was looking forward to it.

"As for our part of the job to provide cover for the rest of the crew, we are going to Glausten III to secure biological samples. Right before we left, I was contacted by an old friend of mine. He said that the planet that we are headed to contains some plant specimens that may help him with some medical research." Jones smiled at James and Mnheia. "Fortunately we have a scientist and a botanist amongst us."

Miller was tempted to point out he wasn’t an actual botanist, but just a guy who enjoyed gardening and plants but decided to keep quiet to not ruin Jones mission briefing. Besides anyone can get specific plant specimens when they know what they’re looking for though Miller.

Jones stood up and walked over to the screen that was in the mess hall. "The problem is half of Glausten is an absolute paradise, resorts dotting the entire western continent of the planet. The other half of the planet however are seclusionists. The two factions are at a tentative cease fire." Jones pulled up the map of the planet and zoomed in on a DMZ. "Our target is in the DMZ here between the two factions. The problem is, it is off limits to everyone unless you have a permit from one of the governing council." Jones spun around and looked at everyone. "So... at the moment, what I'm thinking is fly in, get the permit, go get the samples, and profit."

“You think it will be that easy?” Miller asked, wanting to know if this was going to be a milk run.

"Well... we have to get the permit... without some fanagaling or greasing or who knows what I don't know if we are going to get it, assuming we don't get one, we'll have to "accidentally" waltz into the zone, hopefully not getting seen, taken prisoner, tortured, locked up and executed... sure." Jones smiled at them. "I think miss Summers might be able to help us out a bit." Walter looked over at Sky. "Know anything about this place love?"

Until this point, Sky had remained quiet, just listening to what was being said around her and the reactions to the type and nature of the job. It hadn't surprised Sky in the least, if anything she had expected it.
"As a matter of fact I have some steady clientèle on the planet. Its beautiful and also very difficult to get anywhere without the right permits."

Lee had been listening the captain's presentation and the exchanged between the crew in complete silence. It seemed they need a permit for pretty much everything in order to get to that planet. The Orion girl wondered if they needed a permit to pee there too. She looked at the screen and pursed her lips. She knew some forgers and she could try to get a permit but maybe they could try something less elaborate.

"Can't we fake a technical emergency and force a landing?" Lee spoke softly. She knew her suggestion wasn't the best but she had seen the idea work a few times. "Or maybe a medical emergency? Nothing creates a better diversion than a mysterious and contagious medical case in the hands of local authorities...well an explosion would probably work better but we wanna to keep a low profile, right? " Lee flashed the other a quick grin and shrugged. "Anyways, I'm gonna be quiet for a few minutes now."

"That is a good idea. If we can't for some reason procure an appropriate landing, that is what we'll probably go with. Sky do you think you'd be able to get a hold of something like that for us or know who we could go and see?"

Lee smiled happily when the captain said the idea was good enough to be taken in consideration. She liked to contribute with good ideas when it was possible but she did what she said she was going to do and remained quite for a bit.

"I think I might Captain. I may need your help though". A cheeky smile spread across Sky's face, and with a knowing glance she looked the Capitan up and down as if eying him up for something.

"I can only imagine what you are thinking my dear." Jones looked over at James, "Go ahead and convert one of the holds to a hydroponics bay so that we don't kill the loot. Worst case scenario, we could just fly over and beam up an entire section of the forest, I think our cargo transporters will do that."

“I’ll get straight to that skipper after the meeting is over.” Miller said wondering if the Jones would mind if he used the hydroponics bay for his own planets as well.

Jones sat back, "we'll have a bit of time to just enjoy ourselves on this planet so take a few hours when we get down to take a look around. Anyone have any questions?"

"Aye captain. I can certainly look around and keep myself entertained for a couple hours," the nurse said with a broad smile. They were heading off for some crime. Fun all around. "And nope, no questions from me."

“No questions here.” Miller said as he digested everything that had been said.

"Alright we'll be there soon, try and learn as much as you can about this planet. Good work everyone. Sky, we'll talk in a bit." Jones smiled at everyone as he watched them leave the mess hall. It seemed like everything was coming together.
