Mission: Interlude - SB 611
Location: Docks

Jan stepped onto the docks, looking around for his contact, an aging bolian. He spotted him near a stack of crates, looking around nervously.

Jan walked up to him, a data-pad in his hand, and an outdated disruptor in his coat pocket. "You're late, you better have my equipment." Jan said.

"Quit yer worrying, everything you wanted is here, everything." The bolian said.

"I'll check that." Jan said, a crowbar slipping out of his coat sleeve into his hand.

Jan pried open the 3 large crates, the first containing a console and piles of wires and chips.

"The navigation console?" Jan asked.

"Yep, fully functional, and the kit includes everything you need to adapt it to that bajoran crap hauler." The bolian said.

The second crate had a large power coupling lying among a pile of nuts and bolts, along with a beaten up data pad.

"Mind if I test it?" Jan asked, grabbing a scanner from one of his pockets.

"Alright, I do guarantee it to be at least 95% functional." the bolian said.

Jan plugged his scanner into a test port on the coupling. A few seconds later the scanner emitted a beep, signaling the testing cycle was complete.

"Hmm, 94.5% functional...eh it's good enough." Jan said, relieving the worried bolian.

The final crate contained several smaller boxes, with pictures of dials, gauges, components and several dozen languages written on them. One long box in particular stood out among the rest.

"You managed to get...." Jan started.

"Yes, one cardassian disruptor rifle, hot off the assembly line. That's an extra 10 bars on top of the 19 bars, or I take it back." The bolian said.

Jan grabbed the box and tore the rifle out of it, and armed it. Satisfied with the bolian's shocked expression, and the rifle's quality, Jan shut it off.

"Ha ha, relax fool. You did well, here's the payment, just sign on the padd here and the cash will get transferred to you." Jan said, handing him the data-padd.

The bolian quickly signed and handed back the pad.

"You uh, want any help moving this stuff into the ship?" The bolian said.

"No thanks, pleasure doing business with you." Jan said, putting the rifle back into the crate, pulling the lid closed.
