Mission: Session One - Jailhouse Rock
Location: Orbit of Flausten

On: Jones stepped out of the Slipstream and landed heavily on the deck of the makeshift shuttle bay. They had gotten what they had come for and it was time to make an exit, stage left. Helping sky down out of the shuttle he gave her one last look. She was amazing, everything about her screamed taste and class, even making a hasty escape and rocketing back to the ship. Poking his head back into the cockpit he saw Kyle shutting everything down. "Go ahead and shut her down, then meet me up in the bridge, I'll keep the authorities busy to you get there."

Kyle didn't look up from the procedure, getting used to a new system "Will do."

Jones ran up to bridge and sat down at the comm station, there was already a message coming across from the orbit controller. Hitting the viewscreen a well groomed man with a mustache and what appeared to be a uniform that a yacht steward would wear.

"Warden, we've detected two unauthorized planetary acensions in the last half hour, explain yourselves."

Walter looked over the panel and initiated the start up sequence. "Umm everything is fine down here, umm.. just experiencing some slight systems malfunctions. Umm." He cut the comm signal and turned on the internal systems. "Everyone get up here now, we are going to make a run for it." Turning the comm back on the man looked angry. "Sorry boss, umm what were you saying?"

"I was saying disengage your engines and prepare to be boarded, we are dispatching 2 escorts to take you and your crew into custody." The signal cut off and the proximity alarms started to beep.

Kyle shut the shuttle down and navigated his way to the bridge, getting lost a few times before finding his way to the Bridge in time to hear a threat from the officer over the comm. "Trouble?" he asked.

"Looks like we have some angry friends coming to join us, I was just firing up the engines to get out of here, you are pretty familiar with things around here, think we can out run them or are we going to have to outsmart them?" Jones looked over at Kyle, hopefully this wasn't some kind of trick by the Flaustens to keep him here and confiscate him and his crew. "My diplomacy didn't seem to work with them."

Kyle raised an eyebrow "I think we may have to outrun them, don't think my old employer will be too kind on us if they take us, me hitting his smug face and all that." He jumped over and sat at a forward consol, assuming it was the helm. He jumped up a moment later "Wrong one" he muttered, moving over to sit at another consol.

"What the hell is that" he said flicking one of several... things, sticking out of the consol. It went boing.

"The old girl is a little rough around the edges but she is reliable" Jones smiled "At some point she was upgraded to Federation Tech but after that nothing was modified or maintained."

"I can see" Kyle glancded over the console, half of it wasn't even responding to his commands. Putting it to the back of his mind as he fired up the thrusters.

"The plants on board and in compartment 17." Miller hollered as he rushed on to the bridge and took up a position at an empty station. "So don't destroy it, cause I ain't coming back for another one!"

Kyle nodded, "I'll do what I can, Kyle Bowman, your new pilot by the way." he said inclining his head in Millers direction befoere turning his eye back to the flight controles. He fired up the impuls drive, his experience calculating a flight path through the packed space lanes above Flausten. He hit the comm pannel "ENgineering, this is your pilot speaking, whats the condition of the warp core?"

"If you can call it that! I've never seen one so jury-rigged!" Jan shouted, not sure if the comm would pick up his voice. "Containment is at 78%, plasma flow isn't pretty, uh..best speed right now is warp 3.8" Jan said.

"Typical," Kyle let out a sigh of displeasure, then quickly went back to piloting, dogging and weaving through the orbiting ships. There where several near misses and close calls, with Kyle adapting to the way the Warden flew.
"Any pursuit?” he asked to the bridge in general.

"Got two fighter type craft coming in, 500 Kilometers and closing, looks like they have their weapons charged." Jones spun around and put of the defensive shielding, it would take a few hits maybe but if they were intent on stopping them from leaving it wasn't going to help. Turning to James her had a thought. "Hit up that console there, we have some crap in storage in cargo bay 5, stuff that I was going to try and off load on some primitive planets, if those fighters get close, dump that stuff, it might act like chafe and screw with their targeting sensors."

"Got it boss." Miller replied as he punched up the console. With the fighters closing rapidly to weapons range Miller opened the airlock in cargo bay 5, and watched from his console as the fighters were forced to evade the junk and as their targeting sensors couldn't get a proper lock on the Warden.

Sky loitered at the back of the bridge, not really sure what she could do to help. Slowly, keeping out of the way of the few crew that were on the bridge, she made her way to stand behind the Captains chair. "Anything I can do to help Walter?"

"Maybe you could work some of your feminine wiles to get us out of here, know anyone on planet that could shout these people up and get off our back?" Walter turned and looked at Sky. "I tried but apparently I'm not pretty enough."

"Looks like the junk worked, are we ready for warp, I think we've officially worn out our welcome here. Kyle punch in co-ordinates for Starbase-611, it is a federation outpost near the boarder. We'll be safe there, and we can meet up with the rest of the crew." Jones swung around and looked at everyone on the bridge, ignoring the beeping comm signal from the controller.

Kyle pushed a few buttons "Course locked in, I'd hold onto something if I were you, we're going straight to warp 3.5." He paused to let everyone brace themselves "Engaging."

From half impulse the old cargo blasted forward to warp 3.5, close to it's current max. The bridge shook as the acceleration pushed the old inertial dampeners to their limit. The shacking lessened as the dampeners took up slack, and Kyle turned to Walter. "We're away, and alive, I think, although with this old bucket I can't be sure, where did you find her?" he asked with a slight smirk.

"Got a real good deal on her." Jones smiled and rubbed the console a bit. "She got us out of there,

"God damnit! What idiot threw us into warp so sharply?! These coolant pipes are so rusted it's amazing they didn't explode! And I've already had my fill of scalding hot radioactive coolant for one lifetime!" Jan said, warning lights and alerts popping up on various dirty consoles.

"Chill out, nothing is going to leak, and if something does just move out of the way. If we didn't punch it there wouldn't be any ship left for us to worry about radioactive goop. I think you guys are all a little too worried about things breaking around here. Once we get to the Starbase we can give everything a good going over." Jones let go of the comm button and it stayed on, giving it a swift kick it disengaged.
